The Albemarle Area United Way is going virtual!  Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the traditional Campaign Kickoff and Award Luncheon has transitioned to a Virtual Spirit Week celebrating the accomplishments of the past year and recognizing exceptional organizations and supporters.  The schedule for Spirit Week (broadcast live on the AAUW Facebook page at Noon) is as follows:

Tuesday, August 18 – Spirit of Community Award & Interactive Panel Discussion

Wednesday, August 19 – Spirit of Giving Award & 2019-2020 Campaign Results Presentation

Thursday, August 20 – Partner Agency of Year Award, Community Investment Check Presentation

While the events are free of charge, we are asking for a $15 donation that will go to our COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Fund.  Montero’s will be providing a cold plate on Tuesday, August 18 for participants who kindly make a donation.   All you have to do is register online at, make your donation and your delicious lunch will be waiting to be picked up on August 18th at Montero’s between 11-11:45am.  Please join us for Spirit Week to support our local community and our Partner Agencies who work tirelessly to improve the lives of those in our area!
