The Museum of the Albemarle will host our monthly History for Lunch from Home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 12 p.m.  The Honorable Janice McKenzie Cole will share her story of civil service in Northeastern North Carolina upon moving to the area in 1983. The Honorable Judge Cole was the first female and African American attorney in Perquimans county, elected the first female and African American District Court Judge in the 1st Judicial District and appointed as a United States Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina by Present Clinton and confirmed by the United States Senate and continues to practice immigration law today.
