Grandy, NC, Jan. 20, 2022- Together with the Currituck Chamber of Commerce, The Sweet Sunflour bakery and Outback Candy Store held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate their official opening.

Beth Walston and Tiffany Walston Woodhouse, a mother-daughter team, bring an honest, down-to-earth approach to this new bakery and candy store in Grandy.

Tiffany had been looking forward to bringing a neighborhood bakery to the community. The current location was a little larger than she required, so her mother Beth said she had always wanted to do a nostalgic candy store with old-fashioned candy, hence the name Outback Candy Store.

Outback Candy Store sells old-fashioned traditional candy, ice cream, milkshakes, preserves, fresh whipped butter, hoop cheese, salad dressings, dip mixes, sodas, and a variety of other products. While The Sweet Sunflour offers custom cakes, wedding cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and other baked goods.

We encourage you to visit this wonderful store, which has many delectable items to tempt your palate. Bring your kids and treat them to a vintage candy nostalgia trip through the years of candy tradition. And, while you're at it, treat yourself to some delicious cookies and cake.

They are located at 6322 Caratoke Highway, Grandy NC 27939.
