The following special use permit application was submitted and will be reviewed by the Technical Review Committee - TRC (May 11, 2022) and Board of Commissioners -  BOC (tentative date: July 18, 2022):

  • NC Beach Buggy, LLC.:  The applicant, NC Beach Buggy, LLC, submitted a special use permit application for the purpose of operating automobile sales at 5760 Caratoke Highway, Poplar Branch.  The property is owned by 5752 Caratoke Highway, LLC.

The following final plat applications were submitted and will be reviewed by the TRC (May 11, 2022):

  • Waterleigh, Phase 2:  The applicant/owner, Allied Properties, LLC, submitted a final plat application for 48 residential lots in a conservation subdivision.   The property is located off Tulls Creek Road in Moyock.
  • The Fost Tract, Phases 1B and 2:  The applicant/owner, Moyock Development, LLC, submitted a final plat application for 75 single family residential lots and 19 townhome lots in the Fost Planned Development.  The property is located off Caratoke Highway in Moyock.
  • Fost Estates:  The applicant/developer, Fost Estates, LLC, submitted a final plat application for 31 residential lots in a traditional development.  The property is located off Caratoke Highway, with access through The Fost Tract, in Moyock.

 

QUASI-JUDICIAL DECISIONS

The following cases were submitted and will require the board to make a quasi-judicial decision.  Board members are not allowed to discuss the case or gather evidence outside of the hearing.  You may view the property in question before the hearing but may not talk about the case with the applicant, neighbors, or staff outside of the hearing. 

  • Hans Theyer.:  The applicant submitted a special use permit application to allow auto repair service and temporary vehicle impoundment on property owned by Midlantic Builders, LLC in Corolla off Ponton Lane.  The proposed construction includes a 30’x30’ garage and a 10’x15 separate office building.
  • Baxter Station:  The applicant, North-South Development Group, LLC, submitted a preliminary plat/special use permit application for an 80-lot residential subdivision on property owned by Jarvis Harvest, LLC.  The property is located on Baxter Lane in Moyock.
