On Monday, September 13th the Albemarle Area United Way welcomed the newest member of our team to serve the community. The Board of Directors are pleased to announce the hiring of Kelly Hoetzel as the Community Care Collaborative (CCC) Manager.

We are truly blessed to have secured the services of Kelly Hoetzel as the CCC Manager. She will do great things building upon the foundation we laid with the help of Monica Oakes. Kelly’s passion for serving others coupled with her experience in the non-profit sector will serve her well in this role. When individuals encounter crisis they need a caring person to help them navigate available resources and provide hope. Kelly’s empathy coupled with an inquisitive advocate mindset will position her for tremendous success.

Kelly is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Sustainable Development. She currently resides in Hertford, NC. She has taught English as a Second Language in Turkey and worked in Malawi for the Peace Corps prior to COVID. She enjoys being outdoors, DIY projects, inspiring quotes, anything colorful, riding her bicycle along the river, and spending time with her family.

The Community Care Collaborative is a coalition of faith based organizations across Pasquotank, Perquimans & Camden Counties along with private enterprise and individual supporters designed to assist local residents who experience an unbudgeted, unexpected crisis. Through a cadre of volunteers from all walks of life and backgrounds, CCC will help our neighbors navigate available resources and fill the gaps to keep our friends on a productive self-sustaining trajectory.

Persons seeking assistance are encouraged to contact Kelly at 252-333-1009 Monday through Friday or communitycare@albemarleareauw.org. More information as well as applications for the program can be found at www.aaunitedway.org
