Currituck County 4-H is hosting a workshop on “All Things Pumpkin” for youth ages 5-7 on Friday, October 28, 2022 starting from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This workshop will be located at the N.C. Cooperative Extension Currituck Center is located at 120 Community Way, Barco NC. Pumpkins are an original all-American fruit and they have many uses in today’s world. This hands-on activity is fun and messy and is the perfect way for our youngest 4-H’ers to learn all about the “Great Pumpkin”. While dissecting a pumpkin participants will learn how pumpkins grow, the different parts of a pumpkin and their uses, and that not all pumpkins are orange. They will also carve their own pumpkin and make tasty pumpkin muffins to take home and share.

Space is limited. Registration deadline is October 24, 2022, so please reserve your child’s spot online. There is a $10 registration fee. This may be paid online through eventbrite or you may pay with cash or check. Cash and check payments need to be paid within five days of your registration. If you are paying by check please make it payable to NCSU, and mail it to NCCE 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917.
