We would like to thank Emily Nicholson and Amber Morse from Northeastern Workforce Development Board & NCWorks for presenting our breakfast roundtable virtual seminar Tuesday, July 21, 2020.

NCWorks help businesses, develop, and keep talented employees for entry-level to experienced positions. Whether you are starting a small business or leading a well-established organization, they give free and low-cost solutions to meet your workforce needs and can connect you to resources for entrepreneurs and economic development.

On-the-job Training (OJT) is available to help both employers and potential employees by providing a wage reimbursement to the employers of up to 75% during an employee’s initial time on the job.

The Employee Training Grant is an opportunity for businesses to enhance the skills of their current employees with the goal of retaining a strong workforce and ultimately increase the stability and competitiveness of the employer. $10,000 is available to employers to hire trainers and/or register for classes that will help identified employees overcome skills gaps.
