Recently, the Currituck County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt changes to the beach parking permit process that will take effect on April 30. Below are details of these changes. Please be sure to share this with your guests. If you have any specific questions, please email us tameron.kugler@currituckcountync.gov.

Visitors Renting in the 4WD Area:

  • 2 beach parking permits should come with the rental home. The county will provide each rental company with those passes prior to April 30. Those passes are transferrable from guest to guest in that home from April 30, 2022 to October 1, 2022. Guests staying in these rental homes should NOT have to purchase permits through the county website.
