Currituck County government is receiving reports of heavy traffic on the beach road in the 4-wheel drive section and on NC 12 through Corolla, and through Duck and Southern Shores in Dare County en route to Highway 158. Motorists are asked to be patient as they work their way onto 158 at Southern Shores. NC Department of Transportation and the NC Highway Patrol, as well as local law enforcement, have officials in the area to help improve the flow of traffic. Motorists should follow all normal traffic laws and the directives of law enforcement in the area. Additional updates:

The Annual Meeting is an opportunity for our members to come together and hear a review of the previous year's accomplishments and goals for the coming year. We will also share the results of our Member Benefit Survey, outline some new and/or improved services being offered as a result of that survey, and introducing our Board of Directors for the 2010-2011 year. Following the Annual Meeting is the 2010 Small Business of the Year Awards Luncheon, where the Chamber will honor small businesses and their contributions to this community.
